Motta Farm Conservation Community
A farm conservation community designed to preserve the agricultural heritage of a century farm and honor the legacy of a family farm. Intentional preservation of greenspace and pedestrian connectivity serves to minimize the impact of cars and avoids ecological and community fragmentation, while enhancing connection to existing trails and open space in the surrounding site context. Centered around agriculture, this development features hyper local food and invites engagement of residents and guests through diverse growing systems, products, events and educational experiences.
Farmer D worked with the client through a discovery and assessment process to generate a farm community overlay and master concept plan for the development including conservation, development and agricultural aspects of the project. A financial projection was created to include start up costs, operating budgets and management scenarios for the agricultural enterprises within the project.
