Shiitake Mushroom Log
These high-quality hardwood mushroom logs are hand-crafted in Atlanta, GA by the "2 Fun Guys". They are drilled, innoculated with shiitake spawn, and then sealed with wax. In general, they can be harvested for 3-5 years.
Mushroom logs are easily transported, and extremely easy to care for. Place in a semi-shady, moist area (picture it leaning on-end against a tree in your backyard, or against your house). During dry periods, pour water on it occasionally.
Shiitake mushrooms have 4 to 10 times the amount of flavor of common white button mushrooms, and are an asset to any well stocked kitchen. In addition to their taste, shiitakes are well known for their many nutritional and medicinal qualities.
